CINCINNATI MARKET OrricE or TBE ELIQUIREII, Cincinnati, Oct. 2, 1849. We had a copious rain on Saturday night and Sun day, and yesterday the river commenced rising at this port, and up to last evening had swollen three inches. By Telegraph; we learn that the rain es. tended to Pittsburgh, and there is now a good pros pect of a general rise. This has already given new file to business, and should the river rise three or four feet, every department of trade will be brisk. In freights there have been nothing done:and pri ces are entirely nominal. In the markets there have been few changes since the date anew last report worthy of special notice. There has been rather a better demand for new sour at advanced rates. Groceries have maintained their firmness, ■nd in Coffee a farther advance is established. COFFEE—In our remarks of last Tuesday we no. ticed an advance of is lb in the price of Rio Cof fee. Immediately subsequent to that date, favora ble advicee from the East caused a further improve ment of fully c, and our quotations are now Bla9e for common and fair Rio. Eastern to arrive is held at 9i c. The stock is light, not exceeding 2000 bags. CHRESE..The sales comprise about 800 bakes at 61-c for selected %V. IL The market is well sup plied, but with a good stage of water, of which there is now a prospect, the stock would soon work off. COAL..The yard prices remain firm at 16c for Youghiogheny and 14c for Pomeroy. There in none afloat, and with only a moderate supply in yard, pri ces will be suatained until supplies come lorward from above. FLOUR—The demand for new Floor has been increasing rapidly Since last Tuesday, while old has been leas inquired for, and the former has improved while the latter has depreciated in value. Yes er. day 130 bbls sold in two lots at 4,00, and about 300 bbls old at $6. FEATHERS—Their is a good demand, and prime live Geese sell readily on arrival at 3012031 c. GRAlN—Wheat continues to sell readily at SOO 85c. In Corn no large sales have transpired; small lots sell at 40045 c; large lots would sell at 35c. oats have come forward more freely, but the sup ply is still moderate. We quote Tana° the range. Barley sells at 60a.55, and Rye 60a65c. HRMP—I)ew rotted ranges from 6i to 7c with a fair demand. IRON—The receipts of Pig have been very light, and sales have consequently been limited. In pri ces there is no change. Ohio ranging from 25 to $26 per ton. MOLASSES.. There h.se been no demand except for lota to supply the regular trade, but if any thing more firmness is exhibited. We quote 2461)25c as the range for New Orleans, and 350371 c for Sugar House. OlL..Subsequently to our last date, the market fur Linseed relapsed into a quiet state, and purcha. sea were made to same extent on easier rates than previously current, but on Friday a speculation de mand sprung up, and sales have since been made to the extent of 200 bbls at 82 to 85c, closing at 840 , 85 c with an upward tendency. Lard ranges from 95 to 60c. PROVISIONS..The low price to which Mesa Park receded, induced some inquiry, and thus in con unction with favorable advice!) from New Orleans, inspired holders with more confidence, and on Fri day 200 bbls sold ai 8,00, at which price it is now mostly held. In Bacon, the only sales heard of was 30,000 lbs Sides at -Sic; prime lots of Shoulders and Sides are mostly held at 4105 c. In Lard 120 bble No. 1 sold at 5,1-c, and 20 do. Butcher's at 41c. SUGAR..
