The New Yerk World of yesterday .says : The last consignment or electric lamps and appliances from the Edisen electric light company for the internation al electrical exhibition, which is te begin at Paris next month were .sent from this city ychtcitlay in charge of Mr. Batch Batch cler. Mr. Edisen's first assistant. Fer the last two months boxes containing electric apparatus of all hinds have been shipped en every outgoing French, steamer. Mr. Edisen and Mr. Uatcheler have been work ing for the last two weeks at the laboratory in Gecrck street piepariug this lasi ship ment and perfecting a nev dynamo ma chine el increased power. Last night, for the fust time, Mr. Edisen slept at home, for he has been working night and day at his laboratory. A number of his assist ants, already in Paris, hae completed all the rough work for the exposition which is te be made by his company. Machines have been set up and l:u station is well wired and only needs the p:cscuce of Mr. ftatchcler, who is te supe: intend the llnal details, in elder te bs ready for the open ing en thu lh.st day of August. Over 230 boxes have new been shipped by Mr. Ell Ell ieon, and it is expected that within a few days Mr. E. II. Jehnsen, one of Mr. Edi Edi eon's superintendents, will leave for Eng land in order te establish a model statieu in Londen similar te the one en Fifth av enue, in this city. Among tlie apparatus that Mr. Uatch Uatch cler took with him yesterday te Paris ate the following : " Electric lighting ex hibit, 125 iiorse-power steam dynamo and several dynamos of less power, oue e horsc-p'iwer and several meters of less . power, 2 O'JO electric lamps, with specially prepared li(tiuesa.id complete appliances for rcgul.iMug the current, for guarding against lire and for assuring absolute trustworthiness of light at all times ; and a large number of in whines for demon strating every detail of a complete sys tem of electric lighting. Mr. Edisen has somewhat improved his Limp since last winter. Then a one her.se power machine fed seven Limps, each of which burned for four mouths. New the same machine supplies uine Limps, caeli of which will burn for .seven months. The size of the carbon has been reduced oue-iiith without impairing the perfection of the filament This part of his exhibition of the uses of electricity, Mr. Edisen thinks, will ba par ticularly interesting te tiie Parisians, in asmuch as he has .secured a license from themunicipility of Paris te light up oue section of the city, and he thinks that he will be enabled from this exhibition te form a cempiny for the lighting of the whole city. In the ether departments of the exhibi tion of the application of electricity Mr. Edisen's skill will be well displayed. A complete telegraph system will be seen in his .show rooms. The automatic (Merse), the automatic remau letter and the auto graphic sy.stcms will be fully demonstrated. Mr. Edisen thinks the autographic system will at some future d.iy astonish the world, when It can be I'm t her developed. At present this system will reproduce in Phil adelphia a fac simile of the handwriting of a message written in this city. Besides these in the telegraphic department the duplex and quadruples instruments new in common use here will ba exhibited. A number of telephones arc also included in the list, including the carbon telephone, the motegraph telephone, the motegraph musical telephone, the telephone recorder, .which is the telephone ami phonograph combined, and a multitude of telephones of different construction and principles. Among the miscellaneous articles al ready in Paris or in charge of Mr. Batchel Batchel erarea pressure relay or a motegraph relay in the telegraphic exhibit, a tassi metcr, a carbon ll eestat, a motegraph battery, and exhibition of the application of the cthcric force, a number of phono graphs and megaphones, and a large num ber of elect: ic Limps, showing the various stages of the development of the electric light fiem the first platinum lamp te the improved carbon light ; practical illustra tions of the use of electricity as a motive power, a complete system of underground htrcet tubes, mains and feeders for the purpose of lighting up sections of cities. anu an ere muling appuatus which will be operated by the use of the electric cur rent. This is only a partial iist and docs net include many of the machines and ap pliances which weie sent ever before the work was begun. In this city Mr. Edisen is still pushing en his preparations for lighting the dis trict bounded by Spruce and Wall streets and Nassau street and the E.ist river. The wires have b?cn put in neatly five hundred houses and the district will prob ably be lighted about the first of October. The work is all completed with the ex ception of the election of the heavy en gines in the central station. The contract made with the subscribers is that the light shall cost the same amount as gas. The lighting of this district, Mr. Edisen thinks, will reduce the cost of gas te $1 per thousand cubic feet. LANCASTKK UOl'SKUOLD MARKET. . DAIRY. This Brandy has stoeil the test for years, and has never failed, its fur as our experience extends, and we therefore give it the preference ever all etner Brandies no matt erwith hew many law-breaking French titles they are branded. One-fourth of tint money that is yearly thrown away en various Impotent dyspepsia specifics would sufllcu te buy all the Brandy te cure any such case or uses. In proof of the curative powers et Reigart's Old Brandy, In cases of Dyspepsia, we can summon num hers of witnesses one case in particular we cite: A hard-working tanner had been (UTtletcd with an exhaustive Dyspepsia ler a number of years; his stomach would reject utmost every kind of feed; he had sour eructatiens con stantly no appetite in fact, he was obliged te restrict his diet te crackers and stale bread, and as a beverage he used McC rami's Reet Beer. He is a Methodist, and then, as new, S reached at times, und in his discourses elten (-claimed earnestly against all kinds of strong drink. When advised te trv Reigart's Old Braudy, In his case, he looked up with astenlsnuient, but ufter hearing et its wenilcrlul etlccts in the ceses of some of ids near acquaintances, he at last consented te fellow our advice, lit used the Brandy faithfully and steadily; the llrst bottle giving him an appetite, and before the second was taken he was a sound man.with a stomach capable of digestingany thing which he'ehese te eat. He still keeps it and uses a lit tle occasionally; and since he lias this medi cine he has been of very little pecuniary bene. fit te the doctor. A Pkactisinm Prtsiciam. H. E.
