DREADFUL ACOMENT.—At the steam tannery of Diller t Arndt, in JenestOWni a terrible occident occurred on last Friday morn ing. A man named Sattezahn brought some ttit:k to the tannery. lie was accompanied by a boy, aged about 13 years, named George Shriver, son of Dr. SWlvor, deo'd., residing in Union town ship, near the second mountain.. While Mr. Sattesahn and the men of the tannery, were en gaged, the boy accidently fell into a rut of boil ing liquor. Ile was not seen fall in, but in a moment after one of the men passed the vat, and 'atteiti‘g a hat and whip 012 the top of the liquor, `suspected the terrible truth. Obtaining a pale 'he soon brought the unfortunate boy out. He was dead of (loam. An inquest was held and a \ verdict of accidental de4th given.
