Walker will now devote a por tion of his time looking after his lumber interests at Austin, Forest House and Galeton. Mrs. Jennie Freeman-Emery and daughter, Miss Ruby, of Westport, visited John F. Parsons and wife last Friday, returning home on afternoon train. Mr. J. F. Parsons, one of Empor ium's oldest merchants (probably the oldest in service but about the young est old gentleman in town) visited his Lock llaven friends last Thursday. Miss Gertrude Laumer, of Port Alle gany, has returned to Emporium and accepted a position as clerk at City Bakery. Miss L. is daughter of Andrew Laumer, deceased, who resided in Em porium many years ago.
