From the Fiiridt of Wcdncs>iv!b It i? difficult to figure out the re sult of the elections yesterday from the confused returns at hand. New York has evidently gone* dem ocratic by a rousii g majority and the democrats gain a congressman in that State. The result in Penn svlvuui iis in douht. WolF polled a large vote, bat many democrats seem to have voted for him. It looks as if Noble had pulled through but this is not certain. At the hour of going to press there is noth ing definite from Philadelphia, though rumor lias it that the city has given 14,000 plurality fur Ilaily. If the report should be veri fied the vote between Noble and Daily in the State will be very close. Virginia is in doubt, Miss issippi is democratic. In Wisconsin the democrats made large gains. THE LATEST. We had made positive arrange ments to get-the latest return , but failed. At the time of going to press, Wednesday 0 o'clock, P. M, the state is in doubt although republicans claim Daily elected by a small majority. The whole dem ocratic county ticket is elected, with the possible exception of Lar imer, for Associate Judge. The re ports indicate the election of Kim port. ■■ - - - * — MILLHEIM KOROIGIL State Treasurer —Noble, 107; Daily, 24, Wolfe, 5.
