Tlie Bedford Gazette. AT HOME AND ABROAD. MEETING OF THE BEDFORD BAR. On the announcement, on Wednesday last, of the death of T. W. 15. MCFADDEN, ESQ., which took place at "Schellsburg, on Tuesday last, a meeting of fjte members of the Bedford Bar, was convened at the Court Hause. J. M. RUSSELI., ESQ., was called to the chair and O. E. SHANNON, ESQ., was appointed Secretary. FR. JORDAN, ESQ., being called upon, made some appropriate remarks, referring to the intel ligence, high social qualities and many virtues of the deceased, alluding also to the satisfactory manner in which he Lut lately discharged the various duties of Prothonotary,Register, Record er, &.C., of Fulton county. The following resolu tions were also offered by Ma. JORDAN*, which Were unanimously adopted : Resolved , That we l ac e heard with deep re gret of the death of our broth* r member of this Bar, T. VV. D. McFadden, Esq., at his late res idence in Srhelhsburg. Resolved, That he was endeared to us by bis many virtues, his bright promise of future use fulness, and his goad social qualities, as well as by his recent and severe afiltc! ions. Resolved , That we rejoice to know that be was enabled to hear with manly fortitude and christian resignation the manifold sufferings of hi 3 protracted illness, and that he died with the full assurance of a blissful hereafter. Resolve I, That we deeply sympathise with the afflicted family of the deceased and that the President of this meeting he directed to forward a'copv of our proceedings to the widow ofthe deceased ; and that as a further token of regard for his memory, we will wear the usual badge of mourning for thirty days.
