10—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, August 8, 1964 Farm Society Board Meets The Executive Board of Lan caster County Society of Farm Women held its August meet ing at Long Park Tuesday af ternoon when friends and guests enjoyed a picnic lunch. Mrs. Landis Myer, president, presided at the meeting. A de votional (thought and Bible reading was given by Mrs Melvin Shenk, Society 17. Mrs. Paul Witman introduc ed the Rev. Richard Grant of the United Council of Church es, who presented to the group the Rev. Frank Reyes, minister to the migrant workeis of Lan caster County. His greatest con cern is “to give the migrant workers the Gospel of Christ” In August, Society 1, Mrs. Abram Bollinger, and Society 2, Mrs. Alvin Graybill, will visit the County Home Mrs. A. H. Poyck of the Mental Health Association gave a talk on the facilities for the Lan caster County patients at Em breeville She stated that everyday is open house and everyone is invited to tour the Lancaster County Building. She stressed the need for yarn, thread, bits of material, curlers, tissues, creams and magazines, especially church publications, which can be used by the patients Mis Wanen Hanna, Society 16, told of her gioup’s visit to Embreeville Mis Aaron Den linger, chan man for the pro gram committe foi the Nov ember convention, reported the speaker for the morning will be Mrs Alfied Jackson of Muncy, Pa, and the afteinoon speaker will be Mis Clarence Mason of Glenside. The next meeting of the Board will be Oct 6 at 130 pm. at the home of Mrs Wil liam Heisey, Mount Joy, Socie ty 8. Assisting hostess will be Mrs Ahner Rissei Farm Women 1 To Visit Guests At County Home Mrs Amos Shenk, Lititz R 2, entertained the Society of Farm Women No 1 at the Pavilion of the Middle Creek Church of the Biethren on Saturday afternoon. Mis Abram Bollinger, the pi esi dent, was in charge, Mis Clay ton Sangrey led the devotions, Mrs. W. Dean Fyock, the group singing. Twenty members at tended.
