They were Mrs. Mar tin Greenleaf, recording secre tary, ‘and Mrs. Chester OL. Boss, treasurer. The meeting was held in Hope School, Kirkwood Rl, with the owner, Mrs Abram Herr, acting as hostess. Co hostesses were Mrs. Robert Heath, Mrs. Herbert Lowe, and Mrs Kenneth Shoemaker. De votions were led by Mrs. Herr and 'followed by the flag salute. Roll call was answered by anecodotes remembered from members’ first year in school. Some members recalled using slates with soapstone pencils. .President, Mrs John Frantz L \ presided at the meeting. A meeting of the committee in charge of Mrs. Edwin Witmer, chairman, will be held Monday, Sept. 23 at the home of Mrs. Almus Shoe maker, Bartville, 7:30 p.m. Reports from the members who attended Home Makers Camp at Camp Swatara, Le banon Co., were, heard. The program for the meet ing included a Current Events Quisled by M?£. Warren Smith. Winners were Mrs Granville Trimble, first prize, Mrs. Char les Anderson, 2nd prize.
