Broilers gained nearly three quarters of a cent as 139,050 head in 23 lots brought 16.3 to 16.6, mostly 16.5. The sale average on broileis was 16 49 comlpared to the 15.84 last week. Broilers at the compar able sale last year averaged 16.14 cents. Five lots sold at the top price. One lot of 975 roasters brought 24.8 and two lots of 1,050 pullets brought 25. Two lots containing 1,850 leghorn fowl brought 9 and 10 cents a hound. The complete' sale offered and sold a total of 142,925 head in 28 lots.
