Ready to cook demand was slow in de veloping Estimated slaughter by eastern shore processors for the week end was 584,000 head compared to 817,000 head last week end. Prices in Delraarva during the period ranged from 13.9 to 15 6 for 736,000 head in cluding 493,000 head purchas ed at Thursday’s auction at the Eastern Shore Poultry Growers Exchange. The Delmarva broiler-feed ratio for the week ending De cember 7 was up three points to 3.0. Broilers during the week averaged 14.72 and 20 per cent mash cost the grower $9 6 77 per ton. The ratio for the compar able week a year ago was 3 3 when broilers averaged 15.17 and mash cost the grow er $9l 50 per ton.
