UNCASTER POULTRY CENTER Broilers Gain Fractionally Broiler prices at the Lan caster Poultry Center gamed only fractionally during the week. A total of 89,700 broil ers in 18 lots changed hands at 16 to 17.6 for a sale aver age of 16.36. The sale average last week was 16 26. All broilers on sale were sold. Top lot of 1,500 Indian Rivers at 8 weeks 2 days wis consigned by Miller and Bush ong, and Paul Livengood, and purchased b> Carl B. Risser. Only three her cent of the sales were above 16.5. One lot of 6,000 pullets brought 21.75, but two lots containing 1,500 pullets at 11 weeks two days failed to sell at the offered price of 19 7 and 21.5. Only one other lot on offer failed to sell; this was a lot of 40 males which did not receive a bid One lot of 100 males brought 7 7. Three lots of 3,500 roasters ciossed the block at 18 7 to 24.9, while three lots of leg horn fowl brought 8.6 and 9 7 for the 2,550 head. One lot of 125 heavy fowl was bid off at 11.8 The complete October 18 sale offered 103,515 head in 30 lots and sold 101,975 head in 27 lots.
