LANCASTER POULTRY CENTER Broilers Continue Down Broilers continued the skid they began tlnee weeks ago as prices dropped a cent and a half during the last week. A total of 61,000 head in 14 lots changed hands at the Oct ober 4 auction at prices rang ing from 15 3 to 16 1 for a sale average of 15.4. Last week’s average stood at 16.9 The high lot of broilers was a pen of 3,000 White Van tress at eight weeks, two days, consigned by William K. Burk holder and bought by Roy E. Ream. One lot of pullets brought 25 cents for the 1,050 head, while 3,100 roasters in four lots sold for 21 to 23. Two lots of heavy fowl containing 1,450 head brought 15 1 and 15.3, and 350 leghorn fowl changed hands at 9.3.
