Lane Poultry Center Most Broilers Not Sold Broiler growers expressed reluctance to accept the ave rage price of 12.53 cents per pound at the Lancaster Poul try Center this week. Seven lots of birds containing 49,- ,700 head were withdrawn at bids of 11.6 to 12.6. Only four lots of broilers changed hands. These four lots contained only 11,875 head and brought prices of 12 4 to 13.1. Three lots of 8,050 leg horn fowl brought 7 9 to 8.5 while 550 heavy fowl made 14.2. A total of 2,500 roasters in four lots brought 20.9 to 221. Two lots containing 1,500 pullets made 22.6 to 24.5. The complete November 16 auction offered 75,210 head in 23 .lots and sold 24,510 birds in 15 lots.
