Carlson, Mc- Kean county, president, and the secretary-treasurer, J. Lewis Williams, Uniontown, were returned to office, as were two directors, George B. Butler, Wellsbord R 2, Ti oga county, and Earl L. Groff, Strasburg, Lancaster county. The association voted to discontinue its fall meeting which had rotated among the five breeding centrals. The sum of $11,400 was voted to the Pennsylvania State University, where the meeting was held, for use of its Dairy Cattle Breeding Research Center, Dr. -J. O Almquist, in charge, and fel low researchers reported on their work. Consolidation or merger of some of the top ic under informal discussion among ABC members for some time—received further attention but no action was taken. Indications, from dis cussion at the convention, were that no action is likely' to result soon, except pos sibly fact finding surveys. That was the net result of a panel discussion moder ated by Prof. Joe S Taylor, chairman of Dairy Extension at Penn State.
