Prices tend ed higher near the end of the week as live offerings were more closely held. Estimated slaughter for the week end was 444 000 head compared to 520,000 head last week. The Delmarva broiler-fe ed ratio for the week end ing January JLS was up two points from the previous we ek at 39. Broilers averaged 18.11 and mash cost $92.72 per ton. This compares to six months ago when the ra tio was 34. For the same week a year ago, the ratio was also 3.9 with broilers at 19 17 and mash costing $99.54 per ton.
