Young of Kinzers A scholarship to Penn State University in honor of the late Arthur S Young of Kinzers has been announced. Young was founder and first secretary of the Pennsylvania Farm Equipment Dealers Assn and famous for his collection of steam traction en gines. The new scholrship is available only to a student in the Penn State course for future farm ma chinery sales and services men. High school senior or graduates in Pennsylvania are eligible for the scholarship, and may secure applications from implement dealers, county agricultural a gents, or vocational agriculture teachers. Applications for the scholarship, equal in value to the cost incurred by a first-year student in the stated course, are due the dealers group’s office in Phoenixville by Feb. 28. Selection of the winner will be made on the basis of his interest and aptitude m the modern farm machinery md'-btry, as measured by written and oral statements and a competitive examination. The farm equipment service and sales course was initiated last fall with some 20 students enroll ed. Formal instruction includes two 16-week fall and winter periods, with the time beween devoted to actual employment of the students in retail farm equip ment stores across the state.
