Treasurer, Mrs. Poole also gave her report. Mrs Gates gave a very good account of the trip the thiee groups made to Embreeville. No 2-decided to send games, books, and clothing in the near future. Mrs. Ward ap pointed the following nominating committee- ‘Mrs. Long, Mrs. March and Mrs Root. After the business meeting, a surprise shower was given for Miss Tern Ward The President then intro duced Mr. Francis X. Carlson, the artist who painted some pic tuies This was very nterestng. Formerly the conference had been an nounced for May, but it is be lieved the earlier dates will in terfere less with seasonal farm ing activities. The conference will be spon sored jointly by the Michigan and American Aberdeen-Angus Breeders’ Association m coop eration with Michigan State Uni versity, according to Frank Richards, secretary of the na tional organization. Dr ( R H. Nelson, head of the department of animal husbandry, and Byion H Good, superintendent of farm, will be m charge of local plan ning, working closely with the officers and members of the Michigan Aberdeen-Angus Breed eis’ Association Recently, the following people initiated plans for the confer ence, meeting in the new offices of the animal husbandry depart ment in Anthony Hall: Dr. Nel son; Professor Good; Robert W.
