Pomona Grange Adopts Three Resolutions Three resolutions were adopt ed by Pomona Grange 71 meet ing Saturday at Bnckerville Fire Hall They are: 1, one seeking elimination of red tape in state sale of phea sants; 2, opposition to a State Liquor Control Board ruling per mitting an houi’s extension on bar closing times under daylight savings time, and 3, one concern ing payment of state appropria tions to school districts One Form Per Pheasant Individual forms must be pre pared for each pheasant obtain ed, the Grange asserted, under current Pennsylvania Game Commission rulings The State Grange was requested to take necessary steps to have this re vised. The Resolutions Committee petitioned Gov. George M Lead er to set aside a Liquor Control Board ruling which permits bars and saloons to operate on Stand ard Time during the period when Daylight Savings Time is in ef fect. This would allow bars to remain open until 1 a. m. DST Sundays and Sam. DST week days, in contradiction to action by the State House of Represen tatives which twice voteg T .dowh bills to permit bars open until 2 a. m Sundays. Meet Again Aug^lS At least partial payment of ap propriations would be made to school districts ds soon as avail able, under the thircferesolution offered. Such delays %ve caused many school districts to borrow funds to keep in and when appropriations lire receiv edy they must be used to pay off the loans. Between 70 and 80 •’attended Ralph Wanner, master, presided Harold Althaus, state deputy, was also present _ „ The next meeting. will be Saturday, Aug 18, with Coleram Grange at Oakryn as host.
