N \ a Vol. XXVII, No. 5 10N°S Eye Penn State University, Delaware County Campus February 9, 1996 Cue the New ‘Rec’ Lounge In Commons By Laurie Koechert Sick of being around people who are constantly doing work for class? Just want to go somewhere to kick back and chill? The place on campus to check out this semester is the new Student Recreation Lounge located on the first floor of the Commons Building. This new social scene has replaced the old bookstore, and is expected to be open in February. This is no ordinary lounge; this is "our" lounge. Students can sit back and watch whatever they choose on the new large screen television. If that does not work, they can slip a video into the VCR. If lounging around is not fun enough, students can chalk up some cues for a game of pool. A portable sound system is also available to listen to and may also be used for other activities. The University gave Delco a certain budget to put toward this lounge. The lounge is being painted and carpeted, and will be filled with comfortable new furniture all in shades of gray, blue, and maroon. If you think a large portion of your time will be spent in the new lounge, consider contacting an SGA member to be part of the paid supervisory staff. The lounge hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will be open three nights a week. Make sure you check it out!
