Why t did many students wait so long for their contracts? Deb Eberts said, "I want to get a good room." Scott Stover said, "... so I get into the hall I want to get into and not East;" Students waited patiently and spent the time by reading, eating cookies, playing cards, sleeping, and taking it easy while others just talked. Some students were confident that the room they requested would be assigned to them. "I think I'll have a good chance since I was the first girl in line," said Ellen Volpe. Cerula had a high regard for those who applied. "They all were prepared and had everything ready." Cerula said there is no indication whether or not every student ap plying will recieve a room in the dorm. Last year students were dou bled-up and everyone who applied was accomodated.
