C) The impeached member has the right to address the SGA Senate on their own behalf. D) The Senate must vote with a two thirds majority to remove the member. Probation A) Should a member’s cumulative grade point average fall below what is considered good academic standing in accordance with University policy, that member shall be put on probation for one academic session. B) Failure of the member to increase the cumulative average to above the standard, shall result in removal from office. The SGA does not have the right to impeach any club’s officers. All constitutions of recognized campus organizations or clubs shall follow the guidelines set forth by the SGA constitution and bylaws, and if any conflict of subordinate constitutions with the SGA constitution exist, the SGA constitution and bylaws will take precedence. Club Constitution Approval Process A) The Club president must submit a copy of the new or revised constitution to the SGA Senate. B) The SGA Senate has three weeks to approve or send back the constitution to the club. If the constitution is sent back, there must be a list of problems or reasons why it was sent back to the club. C) The Club can choose to revise their constitution to conform to SGA Senate guidelines, or can appeal the decision of the SGA Senate or to the Student Court. D) When the club’s constitution is ratified by the SGA Senate, it will then go to the Student Court for final approval. E) The Student Court will have the final say in all decisions regarding ratification of the club’s constitution.
