Page 3 Bathtubs aren’t Just For Bathing The favorite outdoor sporting event from 1968 to 1978 was the annual Bathtub Races. The event, sponsored by the student chapter of Pennsylvania Society for Professional Engineers, con sisted of teams of eleven pieople pushing modified bathtubs around a set course. The route, which varied from year to year, was typically two miles in length, beginning at the student center parking lot (now Continuing Education). The course then headed past the sleep.
