On April 20 at 9 p.m., Penn State Behrend will open its
Mehalso Observatory to celebrate Astronomy Day. This day
was created to share the excitement of astronomy with
people around the world, and usually occurs sometime
between mid-April and mid-May, on a Saturday near or
before the first quarter moon. For more information, contact
the Penn State Erie School of Science at (814) 898-6105.
Spring Concert
Behrend’s Ultimate Praise and Gospel Choir will hold
its Annual Spring Concert on April 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the
Reed McGarvey Commons. It will feature guest choirs from
churches in the Erie community, mime performances, and
free refreshments. If you have any questions contact
Adrianne Abney at 898-2692.

workshop on Wednesday from 12-1:30 p.m. in Aca
demic 069. This event will help adult students “survive
the semester stress,” and will join others for a light
hearted and insightful program. Reservations are not
required, but are appreciated, and should be made by
contacting Ann at 898-7255. This event is presented by
Sue Daley.
Butterflies for Kids
On Monday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., there will be a
fundraiser to benefit Butterflies for Kids. Many organizations,
including the Lion Ambassadors and RASO, will promote
awareness and collect donations. This organization allows
children with special needs to plant their own plant, go fish
ing, and much more. Companies such as Fireside Gallery
have donated to this organization, and your generosity will
be appreciated.
