Returning Adult Student Organization
On Thursday, Sept. 27, RASO will meet at 7 p.m.
at Bruno's Cafe. The gathering will be a great op
portunity for returning adults to discuss, meet, and
ask questions about returning to college. Free
coffee will be provided. Following the meeting,
participants will go to the Astronomy open house
at 7:30 p.m.
-On Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m., Dr. Roger Knacke of the. Behrend
School of Science will present "The Great Telescopes."
Knacke will speak regarding recent and future telescopes that are able to
return views hundreds of times stronger than telescopes of the past.
The speech, taking place in Room 101 of the Otto Behrend Science Building,
is free to the public. Technical knowledge is not needed. Observation will
follow the lecture.

Solid Brass
Music at Noon will continue its series with a performance by Solid Brass, a quar
tet of trumpets, a trio of trombones, bass trombone, French horn, tuba and percus
sion. Solid Brass, dressed in tuxedos, plays a variety of music, including battle
songs, folk songs, and medieval tunes. The performance will take place on Oct. 5
in the Reed Wintergarden at Behrend. It is free to the public and students.
-Greg Gumbel, sports broadcaster of Emmy Award-winning of 'The NFL Today", will
appear in the Reed Union Building on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m.
Gumbel has also hosted Sportstime, along with hosting various Super Bowls, Olym
pics, and World Series.
The 2001-2002 Speaker Series is free to the public and to students
