Behrend School of Science will present "The Great Telescopes." Knacke will speak regarding recent and future telescopes that are able to return views hundreds of times stronger than telescopes of the past. The speech, taking place in Room 101 of the Otto Behrend Science Building, is free to the public. Technical knowledge is not needed. Solid Brass, dressed in tuxedos, plays a variety of music, including battle songs, folk songs, and medieval tunes. The performance will take place on Oct. 5 in the Reed Wintergarden at Behrend. It is free to the public and students. -Greg Gumbel, sports broadcaster of Emmy Award-winning of 'The NFL Today", will appear in the Reed Union Building on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m. Gumbel has also hosted Sportstime, along with hosting various Super Bowls, Olym pics, and World Series.
