The weather of the past week has proved most unfavorable for base ball. On Thursday the team went to Pittsburg where games were scheduled for Friday and Saturday with W. U. P. and Carnegie Tech. Both of these games were prevented by rain, and the team was compelled to return on Monday without hav ing crossed bats with either of the Pittsburg teams. Tuesday's game with Villanova was cancelled by the latter, so that the only game of the week was that played by the Re st ryes against Bellefonte Academy. W. H. Buckhout, 'Ol, to be Married. The friends of W. H. Buckhout, 'Ol, will be interested to learn of his wedding to Miss Agnes Griggs,which will occur on June I,at Pleasantville, N. Y. Mrs. W. A. Buckhout and daughter Caroline left last week for Holyoke, Mass., where will they spend two weeks with the former's son Albert. They will then attend the graduation of Miss Margaret at Vassar College, after which they will go to Pleasantville, N. Y. for the wedding. Athletic Elections. Humes, 'lO The Scrubs defeated Bellefonte Academy last week in a hard fought game by the score of 5 to 4. In the ninth inning with one out a Belle- fonte Academy man attempted to steal home from third but was in tercepted at the plate. Dr. Gill will preach at the usual service on next Sunday morning.
