The exhibition in contor tion in this act by Meade, 'll, was as good as that generally given by a protessional. In the third part of the program Prof. Xrise with his German class made a great hit. The chicken feed in the woods, with conspirators lounging around the campfire, singing and watching the kettle boil, made an ideal closing scene. The original faculty march ing song were thoroughly appreciat ed by the well pleased audience. Much credit is due Mr. C. M. Couch for the training which he gave to the company, and for the way in which he directed the entire performance from the orchestra. Interclass Debate. The inter class debate between the Sophomores and Freshmen came off last night too late to find a place in this issue. The question was: Re solved, that immigration to the United States should be further re stricted by an educational test. The affirmative was defended by Fisher, McNary, Lams, and Faust, alter nate, for the Sophomores. The Freshmen debaters were Hasser, Kershaw, Rhoades, and Meikle, alternate. Intercollegiate The Cornell football schedule, published last week, shows but nine games instead of the 12 played in former years. Chicago will take the place of Princeton on the sched ule, the game to be played at Chi cago. Games will be played with Amherst, Oberlin, Colgate, Ver mont, Chicago, Trinity, Pennsyl vania. and Penn State, the last named to be played on October 31. at Ithaca. Capt. Hay was recently appointed by the government to be captain of the rifle team of the United States Cavalry. Tney will have a national match with the Infantry at Camp Perry, Ohio, this summer.
