a mere jumble of words—hard to be repeated and scarcely ever understood. These are, we believe, the main weak points in it and it is with such that a change should be made. Otherwise the old form is good, for it embodies some of the main requisites of a good yell. It contains the name of the institution and our place; it has plenty of swing or rhythm, and lots of snap and attractive qualities. Now, since it is conceded that some revision should be made, who is to do it, or who should assume the responsibil ity? It seems as though the athletic association would be the proper body to take charge of the matter, and we hope that they will see fit to take some interest in it at least. It is in connection with athletic affairs that a yell is mostly used and it is here that any start should originate that looks toward a change. THIS issue of the FREE LANCE has been delayed for a week on account of matters that were beyond the power of the editors. We hope that our readers will bear with the delay this time, and that we shall be able to publish the next number on time. \ + + + •• 4 fi , 4 • • Sl t 02 % eI . D •a. , P . 1.• • T .0P
