" The Free Lance," vice Mr. J. Warren Miller, '9q, resigned.
To the old students who have returned as usual to their various
duties and accustomed places, the FREK LANcn gives greeting and
wishes them a pleasant and a successful year. To all these stu
dents it appeals for renewed efforts for the best interests of the
institution, especially of the members of the class which will soon
leave its " footprints upon the sands " does it ask if there isn't
some custom or precedent which it can establish or associate its
name with, which will not only perpetuate the existence of those
