Improved attendance at future coffee meet ingswill tend to improve the rapport between faculty and students thereby making them more worthwhile. By having a larger attendance, a greater variety of subjects and - opinions can be discussed rather than the current editorial of the Nittany Cub. The current sponsorship (by the faculty) is adequate and dependable, a point which would be debatable if the student representatives ran it. Generally the first meeting could be det ermined a sucess; as it was a start to better communications between students. The date and the time for the next coffee meeting has yet to be announced, but - hopefully it will be in the near future. In a recent issue of the CUB the names of Who's Who in American Junior Colleges were listed. Unfortunately, we neglected to mention the name of Allen Dorchester in this list. Sorry,Al. LATE EDITION OF THE CUB Due to organizational difficulties the Nittany Cub has come out late. The editorial staff wishes to apologize, but we would like to make it clear that it, was not due to any of the recent criticism by the faculty of the Behrend Cam.us. CUB APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE Any freshman or upperclassman who is planning on attending the Behrend Campus for the COMPLETE academic year 1968-69, and who would be interested in joining the present Nittany Cub Staff, should secure applications from the Publications room in the Reed Building. NEWS IFIRO:k1 THE SGA At the last SGA meeting held on Thursday January 25,1968 several topics of interest were discussed. Of prime interest was the newly written constitution of the SGA. This constitution, after much hard work by the members of the constitutional committee was tabled for later action, much to the disapointment and chagrin of these committee members. Another, interesting note was the-action taken by the SGA on the constitution of the newly-formed Behrend Bible Club -( BBC ). According to SGA members, their constitution had discriminatory clauses in it. Miss Susan Zuck, who is acting president, felt that the clause, which stated that the president of the club should believe in God,was not discriminatory in this particular case. The members of the SGA felt differently, and therefore rejected this constitution as it presently stands. "MAKE MINE BLACK" (Cont.) WHO'S WHO OMISSION In other action the SGA has taken action on a juke box for the recreation hall in the Reed Building. In a correspondence to Mr. Finley the SGA asked if it would be possible to have the machine installed. The SGA however failed to consider the fact that the juke box would tend to be quite a distraction to students who wanted to study in the quiet study lounge located almost directly above the recreation area. In addition to this the library is scheduled to move into the Reed Building, another obvious oversight by the members of the SGA. The Carriage House will be free when the C.E. moves, and this might be a possible location for a juke-box type lounge. Possibly the SGA could look into this matter. A one-day Nursing Home Conference sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association of Nursing and Convalescent Homes was held in The Reed Building last Wednesday, January 24. The 'subject discussed at the conference was different aspects of recruiting and keeping personal. Eiwood Stetler of Harrisburg, Mrs. Terry Klingensmith of Sharon, and Eugene Battersby of the Battersby Nursing Home, Erie participated in the program.
