golf exciting to the end

This past weekend the second
round of the intramural golf
competition was held at Downey
Golf Course.
Lou Ischo won the men's
individual title with rounds of 80
and 82 for a total of 162. After
one round, Ischo held only a 2
stroke lead over Scott Defoggi
who shot an 82.
In the deciding round, Ischo and
Defoggi battled back and forth for
the first 12 holes, with Ischo still
holding a two stroke lead. But, on
the par 5, 13th hole Ischo birdied
and Defoggi bogied putting it out
of reach for Defoggi.
Ischo went on to win by 6
strokes, as Defoggi finished with a
two round total of 168.

Rounding out the top five were
Kurt Fattman (87,91) 178, Dave
Rhodes, (87,92) 179, and Sean
Tucker, (87, 92) 179.
The women's competition,
which had only two participants,
lasted only one round. Heidi Dyne
shot a 113 and built an
insurmountable 15 stroke lead
over Wendy Ebinger, who shot a
128. Ebinger deferred the second
round to Dyne, and Dyne was
crowned champion.
In team competition, Third
Floor Niagara came from 21
strokes down after the first round
to beat Delta Chi by five strokes
