Math Anxiety Workshop: Tonight from 6:00-
8:00 p.m., in Science 121, there will be a math
anxiety reduction workshop conducted by Mrs. C.
Cerami and Mrs. C. Leech. Topics included are
learning studying and test taking techniques,
analyzing situations, and more. Refreshments will
be served.
Jello Wrestling: SPC, CC and JRC are
sponsoring a night of jello wrestling Friday, April
23. Rain date is Saturday, April 24. The event will
be held at 8:00 p.m. behind the Reed Building. To
register contact SPC/CC/JRC.
Summer Workstudy Applications: Workstudy
applications for the Summer Session are still
available in the Financial Aid Office.
Research Revealed: On Saturday, April 24, in
117 Reed, the seniors in the four-year mechanical
engineering technology program will present the
results of industry-sponsored research. The program
begins at 10:00 a.m.. For more information contact
Dave Roth at 898-6278.
Summer Jobs: Needed: teacher's aids for youth,
group supervisors to work with economically
disadvantaged at-risk youth, and crew leaders to
work with youth. Must reside within Erie County or
provide own transportation. Must be under 21 years
of age. Applications can be picked up in the
Financial Aid Office and are due May 7.
Jet Propulsion Laboratory Jobs: The Society
of Physics students will present Dr. Paul Weissman
on Tuesday, April 27, at 2:30 p.m. in Science 106.
He will speak on the Job Opportunities at J.P.L., in
Pasadena, CA.
Galileo Mission & Extinction of the
Dinosaurs Lectures: At 1:00 - p4n. id Reed 117,
the Society of Physics students are sponsoring Dr.
Paul Weissman, who will be speaking about the
"Galileo Mission to Jupiter." While on Wednesday,
April 28, at 11:00 a.m. in Behrend 101, he will
discuss the "Comet and Asteroid Impacts and the
Death of the Dinosaurs."
Study Skills Workshop Series: The series
continues on Monday,. April 26, with "Finals
Preparation." The workshop will be instructed by
Karen Wyerman and will be held in Tigress Hall
(lower-ground floor) from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Women's Club of Erie Scholarship: For
anyone already' accepted in 2EET or 2MET. You do
not need to be in need of financial assistance. To
apply you must write a letter of application. For
more inforthation contact the Financial Aid Office.
Deadline is April 30.
Orville Redenbacher Scholarship: For
students 30 years old or older, enrolled or planning
to enroll in a degree program. Deadline is May 1.
Pick up an application in the Financial Aid Office.
Air and Waste Management Scholarship: For
students enrolled full-time in a program leading to a
career in air or waste management in Western
Pennsylvania. Should have at least a "B" average.
Deadline is May 15. Applications can be picked:up
in the Financial Aid Office.

As part of the Adopt-A-School
Program, Behrend is sponsoring
nature stations to celebrate Earth
Day at Diehl Elementary School
today.
"There will be between 15 and
20 Behrend volunteers present,"
said Mari Trenkle, Academic
Support Programs Coordinator.
The agenda for the day entails
rotation between four "nature
stations."
Groups of elementary students
will see a Pennsylvania Game
Commission exhibit, sponsored
by the ODK Honor Society; an
Erie Zoological Society small
mammal exhibit by Scott
Mitchell, a Behrend alumnus; a
Recycling Craft Activity, making

purchased by Diehl.
"This is the last official event
associated with Diehl Elementary
School this year. Next week will
be the last week of tutoring, and
between 50 and 60 Behrend
students have participated in the
volunteer tutoring program at
Diehl. Our students have done a
wonderful job and I believe that
we have really done a lot for the
Diehl students," said Trenkle.
David Stuntz, the music
department at Behrend, has also
worked with Trenkle to bring the
Logan Wintergarden Series
musicians to Diehl during the
past year.
