"Info-talnment?": The term was coined by David Letterman, but was a fairly accurate
description of Sally Hunters presentation, entitled Sex and the Single Voter. Hunter, an
internationally known political consultant, informed a roomful of Behrend students and faculty
of the various trials and tribulatlons involved in filming political "documercials", which are a
cross between documentaries and commercials. Several outtakes of her documentaries also
doubled as entertainment.

At A Glance.. .
As many as ten followers of David Kesh, the radical cult leader,
may be dead in Waco, Texas. Kesh had promised on Tuesday to
surrender if a 58-minute statement would be aired, but reneged on
his word after the statement was aired on radio stations across the
nation. Kesh's excuse was that he had received word from God.
Authorities stated that some of the children released said that at
least seven cult members were killed in raids by the Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Four ATF officers were killed in
Sunday's baffle.
A $200,000 reward has been posted in New York City by the Port
Authority and the City for anyone offering information leading to
the arrest and conviction of the parties responsible for planting a
bomb in the basement garage of the World Trade Center on
February 26. The U.S. Embassy in Algeria reported that it had
received threats of a bombing months ago, and the New York
Police Commissioner believed that the threat was gone when the
second deadline laid down by the terrorists had passed on January
26. One or two terrorists may have died in the explosion, and a
van was used to plant the bomb.
A Monroeville, Alabama man who was sentenced to die 4 1/2 years
ago for a crime he didn't commit, was released after a judge dropped
all charges when finding out three of the witnesses had lied. He
was freed Tuesday morning.
Bosnian Serbs massacred civilians and prevented the U.N. from
evacuating 1500 sick and wounded people on Tuesday. The attacks
were part of the Serbs' final offensive against the weaning Muslim
resistance in the area around Cerska, near the Bosnian-Serbian
border. Some Muslims trying to collect some of the American
dropped aid were picked off by Serbs, U.N. officials said.
In North East today, two buses, two tractor-trailers, and ten cars
were involved in a pileup due to foggy weather and icy roads.
Seven students were transported to area hospitals at the scene, and
eight were sent to medical centers after examination by paramedics.
The Girard school district is accepting bids for four rifles owned by
the district. They were formerly used in the 1950 s and 1960 s for
an intramural rifle club, in which members fired at targets. The
rifles are .22 caliber.
