Thursday, February 4, 1993 In the "Hunt" for victory by Keith McFall Sports Editor This week's Athlete of the Week is Rob Hunt, a standout center on the men's basketball team. Hunt is a sophomore MIS major from New Castle, Pa. He attended Union High School where he played four years of high school ball. In a 48-45 loss to number four Buffalo State on January 25, Hunt kept the Lions close all the way with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Five days later he led the team to a 70-59 win over Oberlin, shooting seventy percent (7-10) from the floor and finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds. "My biggest disappointment is that I've been inconsistent throughout most of the season. I want and have to be more consistent, and play like those two games (Buffalo State and Oberlin) the rest of the season," Hunt said. As for team goals, Hunt has only one thing in mind, to make the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) playoffs, and win this year. "We have to win the rest of our games (five) to get there. If we don't, our chances are slim." When asked what it is about the team he likes best, the answer was the players themselves. "The closeness of the team is what keeps us together through the good times and the bad. We all hang out together off the court, and that makes it easier to play together on the court." Hunt finds it difficult to get involved in any extracurricular activities during the season, but wants to participate in intramurals after the season.
