Fall 1992 Commencement: will be held on
Saturday, January 9, 1993, at 1:00 p.m. in Erie Hall.
In case of severe weather that would prevent travel,
the ceremony will take place the following day,
January 10. If there are any questions call 898-
6000. Please call the Provost's Office at 898-6160
by tomorrow to let them know if you plan to attend.
CD & LP Sale: WPSE Radio is holding a CD &
LP sale Thursday and Friday in front of the library
from 11:00 a.m. until 4:(X) p.m.
Reed Building Extended Hours: During finals
week the Reed Building will be open 24 hours a day.
Extended hours are in effect from Sunday night until
Friday.
Final Semester Mass: The last campus Mass of
the semester is on December 13, at 8:00 p.m. It will
be a time for giving thanks for the last four months
and for honoring the winter graduates.
Bulletin Board Clean-Up: If you have any
materials posted on bulletin boards, walls, windows,
etc. that you would like saved for display next
semester or for any other purpose, please remove
them no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 11.

Attention Collegian Readers: The next issue
of The Collegian for the spring semester will be
January 21, 1993.
Campus Shut Down: As of December 24, all
campus buildings, residence halls, and suites will be
closed for the winter recess. They will reopen
January 3, 1993 for the spring semester.
Aerobics Instructor Wanted: An aerobics
instructor is needed to teach for the spring semester.
If you are interested contact Rob. Wittman in the
Inuamurals Office at 898-6280.
Day Care Center Collection: ODK. is
sponsoring a collection for the Behrend Day Care
Center. Clean out your closets over winter break and
bring toys and books to the Office of Student
Affairs. Items should be in good condition and
appropriate for children between the ages of 6
months to 6 years old. •
Diehi Label Collection Boxes: Collection
boxes have been set up to gather Loblaws, Giant
Eagle and Campbell's product labels to benefit the
Adopt-A-School program. Boxes are located in the
student apartment laundry rooms (buildings 3&8),
Reed Building, Finance Office, and the Science
Division Office.
Free Tutoring Available: All Behrend students
are welcome to utilize the Learning Assistance
Center's services. Student and faculty tutors are on
duty daily offering help with many subjects. For
more information call 898-6014 or drop by the
Center located in the South Cottage.
Bowl-A-Mon Donations: Participants of the
ODK bowl-a-thon have collected $987.05 in
sponsors and donation& Any group interested in
participating next semester should contact Lori Royer
through the ODK mailbox in SOG Suite.

Shields and Anzivino described
the type of person they want as
someone with a proven track
record, who can generate sales, a
marketing plan, who is willing
and able to teach students the arts
of radio communications, and
would he able to run the station.
"We need someone who is
competent enough to run the
station in any type of situation,
like when Fred (Anzivino) had
the accident. It was unforeseen,
and no one person could replace
him."
Anzivino, who hadn't missed a
day of work For 42 months before
his accident, is not able to work
full time now, and it has had
repercussions on the station.
Shields described the position
"It's temporary for now. We
have. an income goal for six
months. If the person cat; reach
this goal after six months, we
keep him for another six months.
Ii he then reaches our one-yeau
goal, we keep him. The person
must be very flexible and is a
unique person."
The ultimate goal is to make
the station completely self
supporting, to take itself off of
the University's budget, and
become more localized.
Anzivino said that the goal after
three years is $lOO,OOO per year
to cover salaries and other costs.
Shields noted that the station
makes 17 t 0 .20 thousand dollars
a year without an organized sales
effort, and said "with an organized
sales effort, we can make a LOT
more."
Anzivino commented, "Local
programming is definitely the
thing for the future. The station
would become a Behrend entity
(not University)."
They hope to see the rep in
action by the first of the year.

The Collegian
Public Drunkenness
Police and Safety was called to Niagara Hall for a medical
assist. A student was discovered to bc yery intoxicated. An
ambulance was called to the site, but the student refused
treatment. The student was then charged with public
drunkenness.
Underage Drinking
On Sunday, December 6, a student was arrested by Police and
Safety for underage drinking. The student claimed that she had
been drinking off campus and had returned to the Reed Building
for a dance.
Assault
Police and Safety was called to assist a student in Perry Hall
who was the victim of an assault. It was discovered that the
assault had taken place off campus and the Wesleyville Police
had previously taken a report. The student was taken to
Hamot Medical Center for treatment.
