Matchbox Production of As Is : Tonight
begins the last run of the Matchbox Player’s
production of William Hoffman's As Is.
Performances will be in the Studio Theater Nov. 12,
13, 14, at 8:00 p.m. and Nov. 15, at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are $4 with $1 discount for Behrend
students. For reservations call 898-6061.
Career Development Center Workshops:
Today the CDC sponsors a workshop dealing with
'Making the Most of Your Job Interview' while on
Wednesday, November 18, the topic will be 'Your
First Job-What to Expect.' All workshops are at
4:00 p.m. in the Reed Conference Room.
"Straight Talk": Tonight the Human Relations
Programming Council and Trigon are sponsoring an
open forum on gay, lesbian, and bisexual
relationships at 8:00 p.m. in the Reed Lecture Hall.
Toronto Trip: A $25.00 deposit must be in today
to Marilyn Chase, in the Provost Office for anyone
attending the March 27-28 trip to Toronto. The cost
per person for bus and hotel room is $Bl.OO. If you

Word Perfect Workshop: The Computer Center
is offering a half-hour workshop discussing the
types of bullets available in Word Perfect and how to
use them. The workshop will be held in Hill on
Thursday, Nov. 19, 10:00 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. and
Monday, Nov. 23, 12:30 p.m.- 1:00 p.m. and 3:00
p.m. - 3:30 p.m. For reservations call 898-6415.
1993 Cooper Fellowship: American Polity
grants ($l,OOO-$2,000) ‘ are awarded with a
submission of a brief essay about the modem African
American experience and its impact on our country's
emerging class of intellectuals and career
professionals. Deadline is December 15. For an

George E. Trimble Scholarship:
Requirements: must be admissible to College of
Earth and Mineral Sciences, must plan to enroll in
PNGE, have high aptitude in math and science, and
have proven need for funds. For more information
contact the Financial Aid Office.
Diehl Label Collection Boxes: Collection
boxes have been set up to gather Loblaws, Giant
Eagle and Campbells product labels to benefit the
Adopt-A-School program. Boxes are located in the
student apartment laundry rooms (buildings 3 & 8),
Reed Building, Finance Office, and the Science
Division Office.
Flu Shots Available: Flu vaccine is now
available at the Health and Wellness Center for the
92-93 flu season. The cost is $B.OO per injection.
Free Tutoring Available: All Behrend Students
are welcome to utilize the Learning Assistance i
Center's services. Student and faculty tutors are on
duty daily offering help with many subjects. For ;

Center located on the South Cottage.

bowlers arc required to collect at
least five dollars worth of
sponsorship funds.
The bowl-a-lhon is open to
any student who attends Penn
State-Bchrcnd.

treasurer of OAK.

Police Report

Medical Assists
On Sunday, November Bth, a student was hurt at Erie Hall
while playing Basketball. The student received a blow to the
left side of her head. She was transported to Hamot by
Brooksidc.
Also on November Blh, a student called for medical help for
a severe cut to his right palm. The student was trying to sec if
he could break a bottle on his head. He was transported to
Hamot by Brooksidc.
Fire Alarm
A fire alarm was accidentally set off on Friday, November 6.
Upon investigation by Police and Safety, the only cause that
could be found was that balloons were being blown up in the
area. The building was checked, and the alarms reset.
Football Theft
On Thursday, October 29, a student reported to the Police
and Safety Office that his football was stolen from the Athletic
Fields. The student described the ball to the department, and
the incident is being investigated.
Criminal Mischief
A student reported to the Police and Safety Office that
someone had “keyed” her vehicle while it was parked on
:ampus. This incident is under investigation.
