Spring ‘93 Advance Registration: From now until November 13 continuing students should advance register with their advisor. Students failing to submit an advance registration will be charged a $lO.OO late registration fee and will lose any class standing priority for courses. Dinner for 6 Strangers: This year’s Thanksgiving Dinner for 6 Strangers program will be held on Thursday, November 19, in the Wintergreen Cafe. The dinner is free and sponsored by the Office of Student Activities/Union. Career Development Center Workshops: Thursday, November 12, the CDC sponsors a workshop dealing with 'Making the Most of Your Job Interview' while on Wednesday, November 18, the topic will be 'Your First Job-What to Expect.' All workshops are at 4:00 p.m. in the Reed Conference Room. Tempus Annual Book Sale: Today is the last day to purchase used books to benefit the Tempus Literary Magazine. Look for their table in the Wintergarden. Diehl Label Collection Boxes: Collection boxes have been set up to gather Loblaws, Giant Eagle and Campbells product labels to benefit the Adopt-A-School program. Boxes are located in the student apartment laundry rooms (buildings 3 & 8), Reed Building Finance Office, and the Science Division Office in the Behrend Building. “Straight Talk”: On Thursday, November 12, the Human Relations Programming Council and Trigon are sponsoring an open forum cn gay, lesbian, and bisexual relationships at 8:00 p.m. in the Reed Lecture Hall. Flu Shots Available: Flu vaccine is now available at the Health and Wellness Center for the 92-93 flu season. The cost is $B.OO per injection. Diehl Tutors Needed: Tutors are still needed this semester for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. (must provide own transportation) to help children grades 3-5 with math, English, and homework assignments. The Collegian Picture This (continued from 1) looking for candid photographs of the campus, students, faculty, events, ‘whatever’. “We could also use some writers,” said, Z aczkicwicz. “The yearbook will have articles,” said Magcstro. “We need people to write those articles, people who know how to write good pieces.” Credits for all persons involved with the yearbook will be properly displayed within the issue. Orders for the yearbook will be offered beginning November 30th, December Ist & 2nd, outside the the Wintergreen Cafe. Orders can also be placed directly with the yearbook officers, prepayment necessary. Final yearbook copies will be available by late April. “For those students graduating in the fall, the issue can be mailed to them when it finally does come out,” said Magcstro. The cost of the yearbook is $2O per copy. For those needing the yearbook to be mailed to them, there is the additional cost of mailing. & ~ Picture Police Report The Collegian Disorderly Conduct On Friday, October 30, police were called to Tiffany Hall. Two students were reported to be creating a disturbance. The students were located and cited for disorderly conduct. Criminal Trespass Last Thursday, October 29, it was discovered that several persons were soliciting perfume without a permit in the residence hall areas. The individuals involved were taken to the Police and Safely Office. Upon discovering that no actual perfume sales were made the individuals were escorted off campus and given a warning not to return. Criminal Mischief It was reported to the Police and Safety Office that someone had poured a fruit drink into the change machine in Lawrence Hall. This incident is under investigation. Medical Assist Police and Safety were called to treat and assist Brooksidc Fire Department in transporting a student to St. Vincent Medical Center.
