high as number two singles and
number one doubles this season.
"She is typical of the seven
freshmen on the team, she fills in
wherever needed and gets the job
done," said Coach Dan Gallegos.
Gallegos said that her major
strength is her serve, which
sometimes gets close to 100
miles an hou.. "She can crank it;

biggest improvement is that,
"she’s learned to come to play and
not to be seen... she's a
strategist, she makes her plan and
works it the best she can."
She also wants to help the
team to their first winning season
since 1948.
Holly likes the tennis
program here at Behrend.
"Tennis isn't your whole life
here. Coach (Gallegos) balances
it out between school and tennis
and gives you a chance to do
everything," she said.
In the summer Holly works
at a tennis club instructing
children and also at a
management firm.

Gallegos
In her spare time she likes to
play softball and volleyball and
exercise.
On weekends she sometimes
goes to nearby New York City
with her friends from Springfield
for a taste of the fast life.
On the other hand, she also
likes the easy-going, slow pace at
Behrend, and enjoys many of the
weekend activities available here.
Holly is planning on staying
at Behrend for four years and is
looking forward to three more
winning seasons on the court and
off.
