The Men's Soccer Team
lost to St. Vincent on Saturday
1-0. This dropped the Lions
record to 3-5.
One reason for the defeat
was the loss of starting goalie,
freshman Jason Schardt. Schardt
broke his wrist before the game.
Behrend played tough
despite the loss of their goalie.
“We played great as a
unit ... passing won us
the game.”
"We played a tremendous
game," says Captain Rick Nese.
The team was extremely
satisfied with all aspects of the
game.
Last week Behrend picked
up two wins. One was on the
field and the other came off of
the field.

sophomore forward, scored two
of the three goals.
"Rusty's second goal (a
diving header) provided our team
with an inspiring boost," said
Dave Moyak a sophomore mid
fielder. The third goal was
scored by freshman Donavan
Zimmerman.
The team successfully
worked together during a last
minute attempt by Buffalo State
to tie the game.
-Rusty Brown
"We played great as a unit.
Great passing won us the
game," said Brown.
The other win came as a
result of a forfeit by Baldwin-
Wallace. Behrend originally lost
to Baldwin-Wallace on
September 12. An ineligible
player causal Baldwin-Wallace
to forfeit their victory.
