"These students (at Behrend) learn more than academic theory," Fasenmyer said. "When they graduate they move right into industry as skilled technicians, design and project engineers." "They are scholars who maintain an interest in research and want to improve the flexibility and efficiency of the plastics industry as a whole for an employer, It's an unbeatable combination." The Plastics Engineering Technology (PET) program is the only one of its kind in the state and is nationally renowned. "Plastics Engineering Technology has a 100 percent placement rate, which is the highest placement percentage in the University," said Lilley. “Richard Fasenmyer’s gift of one million dollars is the cornerstone upon which this new complex will be built," said Lilley. "Many states in general, and Pennsylvania in particular, are devoting less and less money to higher education. Without concerned friends like him, willing to respond to proven need, both students and industry would suffer." it it it it feyuSdS em with the The Collegian Fasenmyer Makes Donation (Continued from 1) Fasenmyer is the only private contributor whose name has been revealed.
