National Donor Awareness Week: Tau
Kappa Epsilon will offer laminated donor
cards in the Wintergreen Lobby Monday,

Earth Day

Although Earth Day isn't
officially celebrated until next
Wednesday, Behrend began the
commemeration early this year.
On Tuesday Behrend
welcomed about three hundred
Diehl Elementary School
students to experience the beauty
of nature. For almost two hours
the children visited five
designated nature stations which
promoted environmental issues.

volunteer student guides who also
fielded questions asked by the

Speakers stolen from
Science Building
Last Thursday the
Instructional Communication
Center reported a pair of speakers
had been stolen from room 124
of the Otto Bchrcnd Science
Building. Police and Safely
officers arc continuing their
investigation.
Underage Drinking
A student was charged with
curious students.
"I am very pleased and proud
with the Behrend students
participation" said Mari Trenkle,
coordinator of academic affairs.
"They were all a great help and
did a great job."
The five stations included an
Earth day pledge poster session in
the Windergarden, a recycling
relay race with aluminum cans, a
stream walk, tree identification,
and nature exhibits with the
Pennsylvania State Game
Commission. The day ended with
the students planting five
evergreen seedlings outside Eric
Hall.

Planned for next Wednesday
afternoon will be a cookoul
sponsored by Student's Today for
Tomorrow's fearth. The cookoul
will begin at 3 p.m. and a button
sale will accompany the event.

Medical Transport
Two students were taken to
Saint Vincent Health Center by
Brooksidc ambulance last week
after colliding during a soccer
match. Both students were treated
and released.
