On the home front...
Intramural news
These are the last two signups of the semester,
so get involved!
Street hockey signups end tomorrow. Men's
and women's teams should sign up in the
intramural office. All games will be played in
Erie Hall.
Get ready for badminton! Men's and women's
singles, and men's, women's, and co-ed doubles
sign ups end tomorrow. The tournament will
start Monday, Apr. 20 and will be over by
Thursday, Apr. 23.
And now for the national news...
The Chicago Bulls beat Milwaukee 116-101
Tuesday night for the franchise record 62nd
victory of the season.
The Portland Trailblazers grabbed their second
straight Pacific Division title Tuesday night by
beating short-handed Golden State 110-101,
their second win over the second place
Warriors in three nights.
CBS's coverage of the Blue Devils 71-51
triumph was seen in 20.9 million households,
topping the 19.8 million which viewed
Villanova's 1985 upset of Georgetown. The pro
record is 18.8 million for the seventh game of
the 1988 NBA finals between the L.A. Lakers
and the Detroit Pistons.

Tennis
Tourney
Some of the Finest collegiate
tennis players from Pennsylvania
and New York will be competing
in the Super Sport! Collegiate
Team Tennis Tournament
Saturday, Apr. 11, at the Penn
State Behrend tennis courts.
Local players participating in
the tournament will include
Johathan Chase from Fairview,
Joe Gette from Girard, Steve
McKeaver from McKean, and
Karl Van Tassel from Wattsburg.
Play begins at 11:00 a.m.
with Allegheny versus
Westminster and Alfred versus
Penn State Behrend. Finals and
consolations matches are
scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
The public is invited to attend
and admission is free.
