The choir will spend Sunday
night traveling to New York and
spend both Monday and Tuesday
in rehearsal with the Japanese and
Baton Rouge choirs.
To better prepare the choir for
their experience of working with
Japanese choir members, Eiji
Oue, the Erie Philharmonic
Orchestra director, spoke to
Behrend's choir last week. He
gave the choir insights into

The choir has an added
advantage since choir member
Cathy Roletter, fourth semester
elementary education major, had
lived in Japan for two years and
speaks fluent Japanese.
"I'm really excited to talk to

because it's been over two years
since I've left," said Roletter.
"It'll just be a really fun
experience I'm looking forward
to it."
The Symphony performance
will be presented in three parts
with the second being a
combination of the Japanese
choirs, the choir from Baton
Rouge, Louisiana, and Behrend's
concert choir. They will perform
the piece Mozart: Missa Brevis,

this past fall in concert.
"We got lucky," said Stuntz.
"We already know the piece -
this is too great a chance to pass

Police and Safety officers

student was questioned and
evidence was seized from the
