Page 8 Shakespeare can be fun by Timoth Jones The Collegian He's back! It's Shakespeare! Kathleen Campbell has decided to produce one of his many plays, Two Gentleman in Verona. Don't run and don't hide, this is going to be an interesting experience. "I picked this play because it is very light. It's a fun, happy comedy about young people. The students here at Behrend can relate to this play because many of the experiences in the play are similar to the ones students have had." She sites some of the experiences as being away from home and falling in love for the first time. Students will be able to get a feel for the play because it will be contemporary. It's going to have casual modern dress, and will not have an Elizabethan set or costumes from that period. Campbell says she is aware that students are turned off by Shakespeare, but encourages students to give this play a try saying, "This is an easy play in which you can get to know NO GIMMICKS - Fw 7 EXTRA INCOME NOW!^—^ ENVELOPE STUFFING —$600 - $BOO every week - FreeDetafts: SASEto Brooks Intenistionfll, Inc. She will be doubling up again in terms of actors playing more than one role. Campbell thinks it's more interesting for actors and actresses to play the different roles. Campbell will also be looking for people who arc interested in acting as well as willing to use their other talents. Jugglers, clowns, dancers, magicians, singers and many, many other 'types of talented students are encouraged to try out. On an interesting note, Campbell is also looking for a dog. "The dog's name is Crab and belongs to one of the characters," she jokes, "and the dog will probably end up stealing the show." Auditions arc on Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.-10 p.m., and on Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 3 p.m.- 7 p.m. She would like you to come to the Studio Theater prepared with a Shakespearean sonnet. Some of the lines are terribly embarrassing. Director Murphy lacks the imagination, style and wisdom needed to make a movie like this work he has no concept of the word 'pacing'. In summary, Freejack is disappointing, utterly boring and, at times, quite laughable. V'" Ip/? ■ ■*<*«■ '"earns*- b' I
