New Health and Wellness Site: On
Monday, Nov. 4 the Center will be located in
the blue house south of the Police and Safety
station on Jordan Road. Hours: Monday -

Psi Chi Speaker: Dr. Russell E. Gruber,
Assistant Professor of Psychology at Eastern
Illinois University, will present "The
Functions of Dreaming" on Saturday, Nov. 9 at
7 p.m. in the Reed Lecture Hall.
Essay Contest: Lion Ambassadors will
sponsor the "Why Penn State-Bchrend is
Special to Me" contest through Nov. 15. The
best essay will be awarded a $5O prize. Essays
can be turned in to the Development Office,
second floor Glenhill.
Fall Graduation: Commencement for
summer and fall 1991 graduates will be held
on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. in Erie Hall.
Deadline for academic regalia purchase/
rental is Nov. 1. Orders can be placed at the
bookstore.
Flu Shots Available: Flu vaccine is now
available at the Health Center for the 91-92
flu season. The cost is $B/injenction.
Free Tutoring Available: All Bchrend
students are welcome to utilize the Learning
Assistance Center's services. For more
information call 898-6014 or drop by the
Center located in the South Cottage.
Spring 1992 Schedule of Classes
Available: The Registrar's Office will be
excepting advance registration requests Oct.
28 - Nov. 8.
Course Symbols Changed: ESACT
(Exercise Sports Activities), replaces the
former PE (Physical Education) course symbol
beginning Spring 92. ESACT courses are
valued at 1.5 credits therefore, students will
need only two courses to complete the three
credit requirement.
Ski Club Trip: The Ski Club is organizing
a trip to Smuggler's Notch, Vermont from Jan.
5 through Jan. 10, 1992. Information sheets
arc available beside the student mailboxes.
New Course Offered: "Peer Education," a
3 credit course about Drugs and Alcohol, is
offered this spring. Class size is limited to 20.

Last Thursday Police and
Safety officers were called to the
athletic fields to investigate a
reported head injury. Officers
discovered a student who was
injured playing flag football. The
student was transported to Hamot
Medical Center by Brookside Fire
Co. ambulance.

On Saturday Police and Safety

Theater for medical assistance.
Thcy discovered a person who had
cut her hand while cutting a box.
Officers bandaged her hand and
advised to go to Eastway
Emergency Center for treatment.
