And now national news...
Heavyweight contender Riddick Bowe earned a
victory Tuesday when his opponent, Elijah Tillery,
kicked him at the end of the first round, leading to
a ten minute brawl inside the ring. After the
fight, three men were involved in a shooting
outside the D.C. Convention Center and and
hospitalized.
After five hours and 100 billion moves, a 25 year
old graduate student and his computer solved an
ancient chess puzzle. In case you were wondering,
a king, a rook, and a bishop can defeat a king and
two knights in 223 moves.

The Lady Lions played their that Baldwin-Wallace banged the
last home game of the season Lions out of Eric Hall 15-3, 15-

a bang.

press, the soccer season wrap-up story had not been turned in.

The stinging Baldwin-Wallace
Yellowjackets swarmed to an
early 6-0 lead in the first game.
The Lions pulled to within 3-6
on kills by Carrie Grzejka and
Kellie Burkhardt and a Kellie
Jordan serving ace. However, the
Ycllowjackets stung back and
cruised to a 15-3 victory.
The Lions came back strong in
the second game and took an
early 5-I advantage, but Baldwin-
Wallace rallied back and won 15-
6.
In the third game, Behrend
started out strong once again and
had an early 3-0 lead, but once
again Baldwin-Wallace stormed
back. This time they won 15-4.
Tuesday's loss was Behrend's
third straight. They dropped a
doubleheader Saturday against
Washington and Jefferson 15-8,
15-7 and Fisher 15-9,15-13.
Pam Allshouse and Bridgett
Nelson played well against
Washington and Jefferson.
"Pam and Bridgett were tough.
Pam led the team in kills and had
three serving aces and Bridgett
had three kills," said Coach Jan
Wilson.
Against Fisher, Grzejka had
seven kills, while Amy
Stranahan and Burkhardt had four
kills apiece.
"Pam Torelli played real well
for us on Saturday. She works
real hard and doesn't make many
mistakes," mentioned Wilson.

The Lady Lions will try to end
the season on a winning note
Thursday when they travel to
Theil College.
