The match begins at 12:30 p.m. The Collegian Rain, rain, rain Six rain-outs last week have Lady Lions scrambling to finish schedule MCMM7n The Collegian Noah had better luck. The softball team has now been rained out for the last six games, and with those rain-outs the Lady Lions will be scrambling for the rest of the season to top last year's win reaxd. Baldwin-Wallace (a national and regionally ranked team and probably Behrend's toughest opponent of the year), Westminster College and St. John Fisher were all scheduled for last week, but were scrubbed because of Erie's traditional spring weather. Currently, the Lions record is 14-7, and according to Head Coach Brett Banker, "We would have to go 6-4 for those remaining games to break another record -that's 20 wins," he said. "We would definately break it if we didn't lose those games to rain." Makeup possibilities for the three teams are slim. Only St. John Fisher is able to accomodate Behrend's scheldule, although a I. -I * * * * * * * * World of Thought * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Major League Baseball * * * * * * * Saturday - April 27 at 9:50 p.m. San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers * * ** * Speaker Series Rebroadcast *** * * * Monday - April 29 at 8:06 p.m. Henry Cisneros "America's Challenge in a Changing World" date has yet to be set. If they can hold their concentration and focus for another two weeks, they'll fine." Banker is trying to reschedule rained-out games with St. John Fisher and Mount Union in order to increase the Lions chances of post-season play and another record-breaking season. Today, the Lions, weather permitting, will play Grove City College away at 2:00 p.m. and they are expected to take both games. "It's hard, we haven't played in a week," said Banker about his Lions. "We have a difficult week ahead." That difficult week includes a makeup with arch-rival Allegheny College. Allegheny has gone to regional finals eight out of the last 10 years. In the two years that Banker has been leading the team, they have never beaten Allegheny. Allegheny will be a big factor in the performance of the Lions in the remaining two weeks of the season. Days off due to rainouts are not helping the situation. "All things considered, they're playing well," says Banker. "If they can hold their concentration and focus for two more weeks, they'll be fine."
