In her slide presentation
this morning at 9:30 in the
Reed Lecture Hall, Lee
Rosenberg will share her
feelings and the experiences of
her "Journey of Conscience"
into the heart of the world of
the Jewish Holocaust.
She stated that the purpose
of her presentation is to show
the Jewish way of life before
World War II as compared to
how their way of life is in
Europe today, as well as to
raise the consciousness of her
listeners to make sure that
they "never forget what
happened."
In 1983, Rosenberg and
other adult children of
holocaust survivors traveled
throughout Eastern Europe,

where their parents and
ancestors lived.
Rosenberg's father survived
the concentration camps of
Auschwitz and Dachau, and
during the war her mother lived
in the Jewish ghetto in lasi,
Romania.
Rosenberg considers the
trip to be very personal. "I
tried to made a spiritual
connection with my
ancestors," she said.
By attempting to
reconstruct the lives of her
parents, she developed a deeper
understanding of their
hardships, the value of the
sanctity of human life, and a
feeling of responsibility to
keep the memory of their
ordeal alive.

the Holocaust to the field of

In 1935, The Nuremberg
Laws segregated Jews from the
mainstream of German life. As

Pam Caudill. secretary of
