The women's basketball team
suffered their third straight loss
this past Sunda", falling to St.
John Fisher College by the score
of 58-41.
St. John Fisher led 28-19 at
halftime and kept that lead
throughout the remainder of the
game. Leading Behrend's offense
was Anne Bonner with 14 points.
Wendy Ebinger had a total of 7
points and Kim Boyd provided 6
points. Michelle Beisler led the
lady lions with seven rebounds.
Behrend's record dropped to 5-
12 on the season while St. John
Fisher boosted their record to an
impressive 15-1.
The Lady Lions have also
dropped their two previous
games, one on the road and the
other in their own den.
The first loss was to Buffalo
State College on January 21.
Buffalo jumped on Behrend early
and took a 36-22 halftime lead.
At game's end, Buffalo went
home with a decisive 80-64
victory.
Ebinger scored 14 points for

Behind and Pam Torrelli had 10.
The Lady Lions were perfect from
the 3-point line as Ebinger sank
two three-pointers and Michelle
Grover notched one.
Behrend next suffered a 67-54
loss to Theil College at home on
January 23. Behrend only trailed
by one at halftime, 28-27, but
was out-scored 39-27 in the
second half.
Torrelli took charge of
Behrend's offense and lead team
scoring with 13 points. Ebinger
and Michelle both had 9 points
on the game.
Beisler led Behrend with 9
rebounds. Heather Shearer pulled
down 6 and Melanie Dunn ended
up with 5.
Despite Behrend's 5-12 record,
Freshman Kim Boyd says the
team in no way lacks motivation.
"We are definitely motivated. It's
just things aren't clicking."
She added that Coach Banker
is confident that they can turn
their season around.
"She has never given up on
us. It's a tough season, though.
We don't have a cake schedule at
all."
