Women's basketball team
starts season at 1-4

The Lady Lions basketball
team lost to Waynesburg College
and Allegheny College last week,
Mopping their record to 1-4.
At Erie Hall on Saturday,
Behrend lost to Waynesburg by a
score of 71-66.
The Lady Lions were led in
scoring by Freshman Becky
Swartz, who had 14 points. The
freshman forward hit on two of
her three three point attempts.
Center Michele Beisler and
forward Melanie Dunn each added
13 markers.
On the boards, Behrend
outrebounded Waynesburg 38-37.
The Lady Lions were led by
Beisler, who had 10 bounds, and
Dunn, who pulled down six
bounds.
Behrend shot 42 percent from
the field for the game. The Lady
Lions shot 54 percent from the
charity strike, despite making all
eight of their foul shots in the
first half.

last week, but it still isn't where

In scoring, Beisler had 12
points and Sophomore Lori
Nadolny added 10 markers for the
Lady Lions.
Behrend had five people foul
out of the game which hurt their
inside game. Dunn, Heisler and
shooting firward Peg Tomlli all
fouled out, and they represent
